Check out this new concept for iOS 7 that demonstrates some of the rumored features for the new operating system.
The video was created by Christian Lue from ChanluChannel and Ran Avni from ConceptsiPhone. It envisions such improvements as Panorama Backgrounds, Quick Reply, Enhanced Siri Capabilities, Improved Music Player, Thumbnail Icons for Folders, Better Settings Control and a Flat UI.
Notably, a recent report leaked details about iOS 7 which did indicate the operating system would be 'black, white, and flat all over' and allow panoramic wallpapers.
Apple is expected to unveil iOS 7 at WWDC 2013 on June 10th.

Activator is a very handy jailbreak tweak on its own, but a new free jailbreak tweak called App Activate by iOS developer rjharris can make it even handier.
App Activate lets you assign Activator actions to up to five application icons. When you double-tap on those application icons, the Activator action that you have assigned to them will take effect. You can configure the five applications you want to assign Activator actions to, as well as the specific Activator actions you want to assign to each in the Settings application via both the App Activate preferences pane and the Activator preferences pane:

The tweak comes in handy in many situations. For example, you can set double-tapping on the Messages application icon to composing a new text message or iMessage, double-tapping on the Mail application icon to composing a new e-mail message, or even double-tapping on the Music application to easily play or pause your music. There are several other useful combinations that you can configure as well; it all comes down to the user's creativity.
The developer notes in the Cydia description that the tweak makes a powerful combination with Ask Assistant, a jailbreak tweak that lets you create Siri queries that are asked whenever you invoke an Activator action that you assign to the queries. For example, if you created a Siri query that would launch Siri and ask, “How do I get home?” whenever a specific Activator action is invoked, this would make a great action for double-tapping on the Maps application via the power of App Activate. This tweak combination is pretty awesome, and we can't help but recommend it too!
App Activate is available in Cydia’s BigBoss repository for free if you'd like to give it a shot. The tweak requires Activator. You will need a Siri-capable device in order to use the Ask Assistant and App Activate combination, but Siri isn’t required if you are using App Activate alone.

Avid Google Voice users will be happy to hear that there’s a new jailbreak tweak out that integrates Google’s SMS service into the stock Messages app. We’ve seen tweaks like this before, such as SMS GV Extension. But to my knowledge, none of them made it to iOS 6.
The tweak we’re going to be talking about today, however, does support iOS 6 (as well as later versions). It’s called SMS on GV, and like the others we’ve seen, it allows you to send and receive text messages using your Google Voice account from within Messages…
And it works just how you’d expect it to. Once the tweak is installed, you’ll pop into your Settings app and login using your GV credentials. From there it will verify you, and then you can get to work configuring the different options. There’s actually more than you’d think.
The menu features independent toggles for both sending and receiving text messages. Enabling the ‘Send via GV’ option means that all outgoing messages will come from your GV account, instead of your iPhone’s GSM module. And there’s also a ‘Receive via GV’ option.
As good as it all sounds though, there are some limitations. The developer warns that with SMS on GV installed, you can’t send pictures (or likely any MMS) via iMessage. And he says that the tweak won’t work with iPod touches, or iPhones and iPads without SIM cards.
But other than that, SMS on GV seems like a solid tweak. If you’d like to check it out for yourself, you can find it in Cydia, in the BigBoss repo, for $2.

It’s always interesting to see tweaks that modify our lock screens because iOS has had the same lock screen style since the beginning. It’s always refreshing to have a change.
A new jailbreak tweak called FXOSLock by iOS developer Alexander Meiler changes the way you unlock your iOS device by removing the slide to unlock slider and replacing it with a new slide to unlock knob.
The slide to unlock knob sits in the middle of the bottom of the lock screen. It’s round and has two arrows inside of it on both sides to indicate that it can be dragged either to the left or to the right. The overall simplistic look of the knob is both minimalistic and appealing.
When you grab the slide to unlock knob and drag it in either direction, you will see text appear at the bottom of the lock screen, as well as a button to land the knob on. The button to the right is the unlock button, and the bottom of the lock screen will say “slide to unlock” as you get closer to it, while the button to the left is the camera button, and the bottom of the lock screen will say “camera” as you get closer to it:
Once you drag the slide to unlock knob over one of the buttons and release your finger, the device will either unlock if you landed on the unlock button or open the Camera application if you landed on the camera button.
FXOSLock does appear to play the iOS unlock sound whether you have the setting turned on or off in the Settings application under the Sounds preferences pane. If this becomes a problem, it’s always possible to put your iPhone into silent mode and you won’t hear the unlock sound.
FXOSLock is available right now in Cydia’s BigBoss repository for just 99¢. It supports iOS 5 and later on the iPod touch and iPhone, although the iPad is not yet supported. The tweak doesn’t come with any options to configure.

Last week a tool floated up, called SemiRestore that you can use to restore your iOS device to an almost stock configuration. But iLEX RAT have been released just a step ahead. You might wondering which one is better, just keep reading.

Folks over IDB are lucky enough to have experienced both of the tool. And according to their description, iLEX RAT is better of the two in current iteration:
1. iLEX RAT is a pretty straightforward command line tool that’s ran directly on the iOS device. This is great for folks that don’t want to fool around with SSHing into their devices and perform some of the ssh commands that SemiRestore requires.
2. Installing iLEX RAT is easy. You simply add a new repo to your Cydia sources, and install the iLEX RAT package. You’ll also need to install MobileTerminal, which makes it so that you have no need for a computer when running the restore. Bnd you have to install OpenSSH and APT 0.7 strict from Cydia, and you still need to operate some steps on PC, if you are using SemiRestore.
3. It’s less complicated and it’s more successful when it comes to removing everything from your device. iLex RAT just works.
4. It even removed more items than the SemiRestore beta was able to do. While iLEX RAT can focus on just the Cydia aspects of your device, it is still capable of returning your entire device back to a stock nature. With that said, it's imperative that you backup your device before performing any restores. Actually, iLEX RAT itself has a backup and restore tool, but that goes beyond the scope of this introductory tutorial.
iLEX RAT restores the iPod to original activating status.
Conclusion: If you’ve been suffering through sluggishness, or just want to get your device closer to stock, there’s really no reason to wait for SemiRestore. At this point, iLEX RAT is easier, self contained, and it works like nobody’s business. It’s a highly recommended tool for anyone wanting to maintain current firmware while venturing back to stock settings.

This iWatch Concept Comes With Maps Interface

Still we can't be sure  what the hell the iWatch can do? We can guess the watch thing will be a very good support for our smartphone, here is a another concept by Martin Hajek to show how the device might integrate with the Maps application on your iPhone.
The interface features a large arrow in the center of the display that likely indicates the direction you need to head in, a compass at the top right, and text directions at the bottom.
Notably, a recent report from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that Apple's smart watch will not be released until the end of 2014.

iPad Mini Prototype With Two Microphones Leaked

Apple was planning to include a second microphone in the iPad mini, according to a new report from Sonny Dickson.
Dickson has obtained photos of a prototype iPad mini that clearly show an extra hole centered at the top rear of the device. He's uncertain why the second microphone was cut from the final product.
The current generation iPad mini only features one microphone on the the top of the device. Current generations of the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad all have a second microphone that is used to improve audio quality during phone calls, shooting video, and using Siri, so it doesn’t make much sense for Apple to neglect that feature on the current generation mini.
Notably, schematic leaks and case leaks for the iPad mini all featured an opening for this second microphone. In fact, some cases sold on Amazon still feature the opening. This would suggest that it was scraped close to release. Dickson says that prototypes and shell models are stolen by Foxconn works and sold to case manufacturers for up to $6000.
Take a look at the photos below...

If you’re looking for a quick way to email, message, or call your friends, this new Cydia tweak may be the solution. QuickGestures adds a few Android inspired gestures to your contacts list.
These gestures work within the Phone or Contacts app and allow you the swipe across a contact, or long press on it, to invoke certain actions. By default, a left swipe will pull up an SMS or iMessage, a right swipe will initiate a call, and a long press will open a blank email addressed to the contact. When you swipe in either direction, that specific contact will indicate which action will be performed with an icon and a change in color.
Check out our video overview below see this tweak in action:

Within the Settings app, you’ll find plenty of options to customize for QuickGestures. This tweak allows you to reassign the gestures to any of the available actions. There’s also options to hide the alphabetical headers and the search field within the contacts list. Also, if you’re having trouble getting the tweak to work properly, there’s a toggle to enable “Switch Array Order” which may fix certain contact related issues.

Quickly send a message.
Currently, QuickGestures is available in the BigBoss repository for $0.99. At this time, QuickGestures is only compatible with iPhone and iOS 6, but the developer has informed us that support for iPod touch will be coming soon. Check it out and be sure to let us know what you think in the comments.
