sn0wbreeze v2.9.14 released

sn0wbreeze v2.9.14 released

The latest version of sn0wbreeze, version 2.9.14, was recently released, and it brings with it support for the iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak for A4 devices. This latest version of sn0wbreeze also supports APTicket validation, in light of the recent issues with APTickets. If you’re a Windows user (sn0wbreeze is for Windows only), and are looking for a way to jailbreak iOS 6.1.3 on your pre-A5 device with a tethered jailbreak, then this latest version of sn0wbreeze is your ticket to freedom.
As usual, though most people rely on factory unlocks these days, sn0wbreeze is great for preserving your baseband on devices used with UltraSn0w to unlock your device. Again, just to reiterate, this is a tethered jailbreak only. Head over to our downloads page to download sn0wbreeze version 2.9.14 right now if you’re at all interested.

Assign Activator gestures to Siri questions with Ask Assistant

Sometimes you just don’t feel like talking, even if it’s to Siri. Ask Assistant is perfect for those times, because it allows you to invoke Siri without saying a word.
The tweak lets you enter up to five canned Siri queries into its preference panel, and you can then assign each query to a specific Activator gesture. For instance, I setup a query that simply stated “Send a Tweet.” I then assigned this question to an Activator gesture — a double tap of the status bar. Now, anytime I want to send a new tweet, all it takes is a double tap of my status bar, and the new tweet sheet will appear.
It doesn’t have to be that simple, though. Ask Assistant can perform any query that you can normally perform using your voice. Take a look inside for a few additional details.
Once you setup each question in Ask Assistant’s preferences, you’re ready to go. Simply hop over to the Activator preference panel, and assign each question to a specific Activator gesture.
Ask Assistant is perfect for assigning often used queries directly to Activator. It won’t be for everyone, and you probably won’t always want to use it, but it’s great for those times when you just don’t feel like speaking. You can download it for free on Cydia’s BigBoss repo. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

FB Unlimited Chat Heads - Jailbreak Tweak to Remove Facebook's 4 Chat-Head Limit
If you’re a fan of Facebook’s new Chat Head feature that debuted in the version 6.0 of the Facebook application just a few days ago, then check out a new free jailbreak tweak called FB Unlimited Chat Heads by iOS developer PoomSmart.
The new Chat Head feature that came with the updated version of Facebook limits you to 4 chat heads at once. This is no longer the case with this jailbreak tweak, which makes it so you can have as many Chat Heads open as it takes to fill the width of your display, whether you’re in portrait mode or landscape mode.
From the tweak’s preferences pane in the Settings application, you can enable and disable landscape mode in the Facebook application to make room for more chat heads, as well as enable or disable unlimited chat heads on demand:

Enable Facebook Chat Heads Feature To Your iPhone Right Now Without Jailbreaking
Like many other users, I am still getting used to the revamped Facebook app for iOS, but the update is pretty good overall. The interface is much cleaner now, and gives the app a very uncluttered feel. Apart from UI changes, the app also offers two new options related to chat – Chat Heads and Stickers. Seeing as how attractive a feature Chat Heads is, we wouldn’t be surprised if Facebookers stopped using Facebook’s Messenger app a great deal until it gets these features as well. Although many have received Facebook’s latest iOS update in its entirety, not everyone has been lucky enough to gain access to Chat Heads and Stickers just yet. Facebook has decided to roll out these features gradually over the course of a few weeks. If you are one of those annoyed Facebookers who are in the waiting list, there is a way of enabling the features on your account right now. You don’t need to have a jailbroken device, but some basic knowledge of the iOS file system is sure to help.
If the features shown in the two screenshots above aren’t available for you even after updating the Facebook app, continue reading. Here is all you need to do in order to enable Chat Heads on your iPhone.
Requirements
1. Update the Facebook app for iOS to version 6.0.
2. If you don’t have a jailbroken device, download any desktop tool that is capable of accessing the iOS file system. We used iFunbox, since it works pretty well with Windows 8, but if you are on a Mac, PhoneView might be a good option as well. Jailbroken users can simply use iFile.
3. Any PLIST editor, like Xcode for OS X or iBacupBot for both Windows & OS X.
Instructions
1. Install iFunbox (or whichever iOS file system browser you plan to use) on your computer.
2. Connect your iDevice to the computer via USB.
3. Go to the file system location that lists all installed apps (/var/mobile/Applications) and open the Facebook folder.
Note that if you’re using iFile, going to Settings > File Manager and enabling ‘Application Names’ will make it easier to find the Facebook folder.
4. Inside the Facebook folder, navigate to the Library > Preferences subfolder.
5. Copy the file ‘com.facebook.Facebook.plist’ and paste it to a location on your PC (unnecessary if you’re using iFile; it has a built-in Property List Viewer).
6. Once the file is on your computer, open it with the PLIST editor you downloaded previously.
7. Search for the following key within the extracted Facebook PLIST file
messenger_chat_heads_ios
8. If the key is there, and the value against it is set to ‘FALSE’, change the value to TRUE. In case the key isn’t found at all, you can add it to the top level of the PLIST manually, with the value set to TRUE, of course.
9. Replace the original com.facebook.Facebook.plist with the modified version you have just created.
10.Disconnect your device from the computer, and kill the Facebook app from your iDevice’s App Switcher tray if it is present there.
When you launch the app next time, you should have the Chat Heads feature enabled.
Unfortunately, the method to enable Stickers seems quite complicated, and considering the meagerness of the reward, we doubt a lot of users would want to go through all that trouble, specially when their wait should end within a few weeks anyway. If you still want to get those cute, gigantic chat Emoji on your iPhone right away, carry on to the source link below to follow the rest of the hack.

Secretary: Read Out Messages and Notifications on iPhone or iPad
We often hear people say that the iTunes App Store boasts close to 800,000 apps, but the implications of this statement are rarely mentioned. The presence of so many different apps means that we now have apps for all occasions, pretty much every kind of users, and a variety of purposes. As dangerous as it can be, a lot of people just can’t help but whip their phone out every time a new notification shows up while they are driving. Thankfully, there are apps that can help you multitask in a safer manner. DriveSafe.ly reads out updates from various sources, while a similar Cydia tweak exists for adding this functionality to the stock Messages app as well.Secretary is a new Cydia release that takes the features offered by VSNotifications to the next level. With this tweak, you get a spoken summary of any items that need your attention, and also get incoming text messages read out to you.
Secretary has to be configured through its Settings app menu. Like most Cydia tweaks, it has an ‘Enable’ toggle. You can choose the language for the notification summary, since the tweak supports all languages that can usually be added to the iOS keyboard. A good thing about Secretary is that you can choose a volume level exclusively for it, which won’t be affected by the volume at which you might be listening to your music.
The reports read by Secretary consist of the following information:
The number of calls you have missed
The total count of texts awaiting your attention
Content of new messages
Upcoming calendar events
You can choose to omit any particular item from this list by toggling it off. For calendar events, users can even define the exact time window that is considered to comprise ‘Upcoming’ by Secretary.
The tweak can be configured to read reports whenever you connect a Bluetooth headset or wired headphones. The Secretary menu even has options for letting users control the speed at which reports are read.
Most of the features offered by Secretary work only when you connect a headset to the device, but the tweak is capable of reading out new texts even over the speaker. Of course, this works only when no headphones are plugged in.
Secretary is a useful tweak, and can help you a lot during driving or whenever you don’t have time to take your iPhone out of your pocket. You can get this $1.99 download from the BigBoss repo of Cydia store

Popular App Switcher 'Auxo' for iPad Gonna Hit Cydia Next Month
Auxo, the highly popular app switcher alternative for iOS that is available in Cydia for $1.99, is set to be made iPad-compatible as soon as next month (May). Tche announcement comes from the Twitter account of A³tweaks, the development team of the popular jailbreak tweak.

Auxo is a project that was thought up by concept creator Sentry_NC, and was developed and maintained by iOS developers JamieD360 and Jack Willis. Since its original launch, the tweak's popularity has only skyrocketed for iPhone and iPod touch users – iPad users have had no way to take advantage of Auxo, yet.
Auxo reinvents the App Switcher by providing the user with application previews, which are overlaid by the actual application icon. The music controls are rethought, and an additional page for toggles is added for user convenience. The user controls the toggles that are visible and the order they appear. Several other options can be configured from the settings as well.
The iPad version of Auxo, teased in the image above from the developers, shows that it will indeed support the iPad soon, and that the iPad version of Auxo will display iPad-resolution application previews in the App Switcher just like how Auxo makes application previews taller on the iPhone 5 than on the iPhone 4S, and so on. Keep your eyes peeled!
Rolomotion Makes iPhone Like Wii Remote and Apple TV The Console!

Rolocule's Rolomotion is designed to convert an iPhone or an iPod touch into a motion controller, similar to a Nintendo Wii Remote. The iPhone motion controller combines with games streamed over AirPlay using the Apple TV, allowing for motion-based gaming directly on a television.
The Rolomotion concept takes advantage of the iPhone's gyroscope, magnetometer and accelerometer to track movements, which are then translated on the screen.

Motion Tennis, the first game that incorporates Rolomotion, plays similarly to Wii Sports Tennis on the Wii gaming console. The iPhone is used as a tennis racket, and when swung, the character on the screen will swing as well.
According to Rolocule, Motion Tennis uses in-game optimizations to minimize mirroring lag and will also feature a multiplayer mode.
As with all products of this type, enticing developers to use the technology is a significant hurdle to overcome. Rolocule is planning on releasing additional games in the future, but there is no word on whether an SDK will be made available.
The company is planning on sending out a limited number of beta invites during the last week of April to prospective gamers who sign up on the website.

iPad 5 Will be 15% Thinner, 25% Lighter?

iPad 5 Will be 15% Thinner, 25% Lighter?
KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says he expects production to ramp up in August/September for a new iPad that is 15% thinner and 25% lighter.
We think the tablet will, at 7.5-8.0mm, be 15% thinner than iPad 4. The new device will likely be about 500 grams, or some 25% lighter than iPad 4, run on an A7X processor, and sport cameras with similar specs to the iPad 4’s (front HD, rear 5MP). The casing shape and color (silver and black) and narrow bezel design will be similar to the iPad mini’s.
Kuo also said that it's likely Apple will use the same GF2 touch technology that's used in the iPad mini for a thinner display. More efficient display and chip technologies will also result in a thinner battery.
We therefore think that iPad 5’s battery capacity will be 25-30% smaller, at 8,500-9,000mAh, than iPad 4’s, and the battery’s thickness will be 15-20% smaller, at 7.5-8.0mm, and the number of cells will be reduced to two from three.
Finally, Kuo believes Apple will still be using a chip produced by Samsung on its 28-nm process.
Notably, just yesterday, numerous case photos for a new iPad were leaked online and show a design more similar to the iPad mini.

Live Battery Indicator: Merges The Battery Icon And Battery Percentage

Have you ever noticed in your status bar that there are two separate elements for the battery level of your iOS device? An icon and percentage number. Do you think it takes up too much space? Would you like to have one image that does both?
Live Battery Indicator is a custom image that replaces the stock battery icon and percentage indicator. After installing the tweak users will notice a juice level indicator which circles around the battery percentage number. The circle slowly opens up in a clockwise motion as the battery drains. When the battery percentage falls below 20% the number will turn red just like in the default battery icon.
Live Battery Indicator seems to be a pleasant way of combining both the battery percentage and the juice level indicator. However, I feel like as a whole the image seems to barely fit into the status bar, which almost drops below the background image and skims the top of screen. In addition, the image doesn’t change when the user charges their iPhone. In my opinion, I feel as if the image needs to come down in size to fit accordingly, but others may like it. Overall the design is nice, compact, simple and doesn’t clutter up your status bar.
On the other hand, users might be pleasantly surprised to find there is a WinterBoard theme bundled with the tweak. The theme gets rid of the live circle image and replaces it with the traditional battery icon image. This means the battery image is static, but the numbers inside the image will change. The traditional-like image is noticeably smaller and seems to fit evenly within the status bar, unlike the Circle image that barely fits.
Live Battery Indicator is a free tweak in Cydia from the ModMyi repo by pw5a29. There are no settings to configure after installing.  Users also have the ability to create their own themes and instructions can be found in the stock Settings app.
