Beautiful iPad 5 and iPhone 5S in Gold

Martin Hajek has posted new renderings of his concept for the iPad 5 and iPhone 5S in gold.
With more and more rumours pointing to a gold iPhone 5S I rendered up some ‘clean’ shots.
You can check out the images below or click here to download the 3D model used for the images.

A gold iPhone 5S has been confirmed by numerous sources; however, we have yet to hear anything about a gold iPad.

Box and iPhone 5S leaked

A purported image of the iPhone 5S packaging has shown up to reveal a larger storage version of the phone will be available this time round.
Currently the iPhone 5 tops out with a 64GB model, but in these days of HD video, and game apps with ever increasing sizes Apple may be looking to offer something a little larger.

The above image comes from a Chinese tech site which claims that it is a real photo of the next generation iPhones packaging. Along with the image of the box a photo of the rear of the new iPhone was also posted which shows a dual LED flash.

Dickson previously provided parts to DetriotBORG for a high quality video that compares the alleged low cost iPhone shell to the iPhone 5.
Apple is expected to replace the iPhone 5 with the iPhone 5C which will reportedly be unveiled on September 10th.

More Reports Confirm Gold iPhone 5S

After numerous publications reported on the existence of a gold color option for the upcoming iPhone 5S this weekend, AllThingsD and 9to5Mac this morning have reported that gold will indeed be a new option.
This is in addition to the existing black-and-slate and white-and-silver options for the iPhone 5. John Paczkowski for AllThingsD:
Apple is adding a new color to the iPhone color palette, and yes, it is indeed gold.
Sources in position to know tell AllThingsD that Apple, after years of offering the iPhone in either black and white, will soon offer it in a gold tone as well.
The new color option was described to AllThingsD as an “elegant” gold tone. “Think champagne, not ingot,” a source said. Sources say that the gold iPhone will feature a white face, with a gold-tone back plate and chamfered edging.
9to5Mac's Mark Gurman is reporting separately with additional details about the new color, and his sources have often proven accurate in the past:
While many have called this new iPhone color “gold,” our source says that the color is more inline with the yellow fifth-generation iPod touch, but slightly lighter in texture. Some have called this “champagne” and that sounds about right. We’ve also heard that this gold model has a white front-face, so it won’t be a black and gold device, but rather a white and “gold/champagne” phone.

Gurman also says that the iPhone 5S home button will not take on a convex shape and that it will in fact be nearly indistinguishable from the current design.

Every time Samsung drops a new flagship smartphone, the company seems to go that extra mile in ensuring that it packs some dazzling new features to entice the consumer market once more. In the case of the latest and greatest Galaxy S4, the South Korean outfit introduced Air Gesture, a smart little implementation which allows certain features to be controlled using basic hand movements above the device. Now, thanks to the great minds over at XDA-Developers, this kind of thing can be performed on a number of devices. Air Swiper is the name, and although, at this early stage, it’s by no means without its flaws, it’s definitely worth giving a shot.

Of course, the Galaxy S4 isn’t the only device to take advantage of the mod cons available in today’s smartphones. Google and Motorola’s new joint effort – the Moto X smartphone – has also demonstrated compatibility, and if you’re intrigued by these developments but do not wish to pony up for a new smartphone, Air Swiper may well have you covered.
Compatible with Android 4.0 and above, Air Swiper takes advantage of your device’s proximity sensor to let you perform actions by hovering your hand, and although testing on a number of ROMs have yielded decidedly mixed results, I suspect the inquisitive minds of many of you Android users will no doubt prompt you to test whether your device is game.
Although many wouldn’t see the necessity of air gesture-based control, it’s especially handy for those situations where your digits are just too greasy, muddy, or otherwise dirty enough to prompt you to question whether you’d want your gleaming gadget to be tarnished with grime.
With Air Swiper, gestures are currently rather limited, offering basic abilities like unlocking and locking, switching between silent and loud modes, opening up your messages and such, but with further development, we can see this one being very promising indeed.
If you’re interested, you can check out the full details on the official thread over on XDA, and the Google Play link for Air Swiper can be found below.
Make sure to check out our Android Apps gallery to explore more apps for your Android device.

The massive 10.3-megapixel images are the highest-quality photos of the new casing that we have seen thus far, and they show the shell in great detail. Apple’s iPhone 5C is expected to launch as a mid-range handset priced somewhere around $400 that will help the company better address markets like China, where lower-cost devices are proliferating as growth in the high-end smartphone market slows. Several photos of the iPhone 5C shell follow below and the rest can be found at their original size on Dickson’s website.
