LockFlavors New Tweak For LockScreen

Whether you’re a casual themer, or you just clicked on this review because you think the header image looks interesting, you have just got to check out a new jailbreak tweak called LockFlavors by iOS developer Bailey Seymour.
The tweak makes it so you can customize your lock screen to your liking. Shown above, the tweak has a lot of options to choose from, and it can change things like the lock screen interface style, slider style, knob style, fonts, slide to unlock text and more. With LockFlavors, you will truly be able to make your lock screen one-of-a-kind and all your own.

The tweak adds an application to your home screen that you can open to configure the tweak’s options:
From the main page, you will find a list of over 35 different themes that you can apply to your lock screen. The themes apply varying styles, fonts, sliders, knobs, and more to your lock screen. You will see little previews of the styles in the boxes to the right of the names. The one with the check mark is the one that you currently have applied.
If none of them interest you, you can tap on the "+" button at the top right of the application to bring up an interface where you can create your own theme. You will be able to set your own colors for the top and the bottom of the lock screen using RGB sliders, and select your own custom font that you want to use. When you're satisfied, you can tap on the Save button to save your custom theme, or you can tap on the Cancel button if you want to go back without saving changes.
Any custom themes that you create can be named, re-named, and deleted from the main page of the LockFlavors application. By tapping on the gear button at the top left of the application's main interface, you will be able to configure options like enabling or disabling the tweak on demand, choosing to use a themed wallpaper, picking your own slide to unlock text, and choosing to use a themed slider.
From what it looks like, LockFlavors is a solid tweak for those looking to make their lock screen look different from everyone else's. The tweak is available in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now for $1.99 and works on iOS devices running iOS 6.0 or later. Check it out!

An untethered jailbreak known as 'UnthreadedJB' has been released for the CDMA iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1. Prior to this, no program supported an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1 (absinthe required 5.1.1 and redsn0w was tethered only).
The team behind the jailbreak has no real name other than 'UnthreadedJB'; however, the jailbreak has been confirmed working by a various people across the web. Currently it is available for linux only.
It's believed that the jailbreak uses previous exploits released by established members of the jailbreak community; however, no real information about its workings have been revealed yet.

If you have a CDMA iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1 and use Linux, you can find more information at the link below...

InstaLauncher is an upcoming jailbreak tweak that allows you to add a custom launcher to the iPhone. It a tweak that lets you launch any app on your device in a quick and efficient fashion. I think it’s safe to say that many will be intrigued by InstaLauncher. Take a look inside at our preview before the tweak officially releases.

What do you think about InstaLauncher’s app launching capabilities? Would you like to use it? Sound off in the comments below, and stay tuned for the full in-depth analysis after the tweak droops on Cydia.

According to BGR:

"A new leak has revealed a key component for Apple’s next-generation iPhone. Images from repair shop iHospital reportedly show the motherboard for the iPhone 5S. The component is similar to the one found in the iPhone 5, although there are slight differences that suggest we may see new hardware in Apple’s upcoming smartphone. Earlier reports claimed that the iPhone 5S will be equipped with a faster A6 processor, improved graphics, 2GB of RAM and a 12-megapixel camera with a dual-LED flash. It may also include a fingerprint scanner for increased security, an NFC chip and an upgraded LTE radio. Apple is expected to release the iPhone 5S sometime this fall. The leaked images follow below.  "

The 5th generation iPad is expected to utilize new touchscreen technology that will make it thinner and lighter if industry sources are to be believed. We have known for some time now that the next-generation 9.7-inch iPad will see a reduced form factor and thinner bezels, but up until now we haven’t really known how Apple is going to do this.
One aspect that we were previously told would be changing would be the backlight system. According to DigiTimes Apple will also be introducing GF2 touchscreen technology.
Apple’s next-generation 9.7-inch iPad is expected to have 2,048 by 1,536 resolution and 264ppi, the same as that of the current model, according to industry sources. But the new device will have a slimmer bezel design and use GF2 touch screen technology, which will make it thinner and lighter.
This new touchscreen technology will be provided by TPK and GIS, while that actual Retina display panels will come from LG Display, Samsung Display and Sharp. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated in a recent report that the 5th generation iPad was on track to be released in September so we will have to wait and see if this indeed comes true.
DigiTimes also reported some more details on the iPad Mini 2:
Apple is reportedly still choosing whether to use oxide TFT or LTPS backplane technology in its next-generation iPad mini. The sources said that Sharp is looking to provide Apple with Oxide TFT technology while LG and Samsung are leaning towards LTPS, as the Korea-based companies believe using oxide TFT does not result in significantly less power consumption.
The report failed to mention whether or not that iPad Mini 2 was on track to being released this year or next as recent rumors have pointed to.

Those interested in improving the functionality and appearance of the lock screen should take a look at a new jailbreak tweak available in Cydia now called BuddyLock by iOS developer Jacob Caraballo.
Shown above, BuddyLock lets you configure just about anything on the lock screen. The new unlocking interface looks and behaves almost similarly to JellyLock, but the features are much more extensive and there is a ton of customization that you can take advantage of. This interface consists of a circular icon at the bottom of the lock screen that you can drag anywhere on the lock screen, either to the unlock icon, camera icon, or to any of the customizable application shortcuts.

BuddyLock also gives the user the ability to use sidebars on the lock screen, which are accessed by swiping from the right or from the left of the display. The sidebar can be either for contacts, toggles/shortcuts, or song playlists. You can also disable them outright:
After you install the tweak, you will find a preferences pane in the Settings application where you can play around with the several customization options:
At the top you will find the ability to enable or disable the tweak on demand, and you’ll also find a cell for theming, but we’ll get back to the extensive theming options later on.
From the main preferences pane, you will also find a cell where you can configure the application shortcuts that appear on the lock screen, an option to enable or disable the folder on the lock screen (you can also configure the applications in the folder), choose what kinds of sidebars you can access on the lock screen, configure Activator actions for the date header, hide or show elements on the lock screen, and enable or disable a feature that allows you to swipe all notifications away.
From the theming cell of the main preferences pane, you will find an extensive list of options where you can configure the appearance of the lock screen’s elements:
Options include changing the appearance, size, opacity, and margins of the circular icon used to unlock the device, enabling or disabling a theme option for the date header where you can choose a color theme, choose an opacity level, and more. You will also be choose a custom font, font color, and font offset for the date and time, and set an opacity level and margin amount for the camera and unlock icon and other application icons.
BuddyLock is a very feature-filled jailbreak tweak that focuses on those liking to have absolute power and control over what things look like. With all of the options the tweak gives you, any creative mind can make one heck of a cool-looking lock screen that no one else has.
The tweak is compatible with both iOS 5 and iOS 6 and can be had for just 99¢ in Cydia's BigBoss repository.

Just a day after AllThingsD confirmed analyst Piter Misek’s claim of the iPhone 5S production ramp-upin July, a Chinese website leaks a few images that appear to depict a bunch of production iPhone 5S units.
There’s no way of determining authenticity of the photos because the iPhone 5S is widely expected to re-use the two-tone design of the current-generation iPhone 5.
The Chinese source also spelled out technical specifications that match up with past rumors.
Go past the fold for the full breakdown…
Our Chinese is a little rusty, but according to a machine-translated article published by the Chinese-language website EXPReview, the iPhone 5S features a four-inch IGZO panel (Sharp?) with the same 1,136-by-640 Retina resolution at 326 pixels-per-inch.
You may recall a Korean publication recently said Apple was finally ready to make a switchfrom traditional LCD IPS technology to energy-efficient IGZO panels.
Co-developed by Sharp and Semiconductor Energy Laboratories, IGZO (indium gallium zinc oxide) panels consume just a fraction of power needed to drive LCDs while providing deeper blacks and richer colors.

The report goes on to mention that the iPhone 5S will run an improved processor featuring faster graphics: Imagination Technologies’ quad-core PowerVR SGX 554MP4 GPU instead of the three-core PowerVR SGX543MP3 driving graphics on the iPhone 5.
The CPU part is said to feature 2GB of RAM, twice as much than the iPhone 5′s 1GB of LPDDR2-1066 RAM. Doubling the RAM would allow for smoother multitasking, faster performance and better responsiveness. Other than that, the device’s CPU is said to be still a Swift dual-core variant.
Other tidbit mentioned include support for 4G LTE-Advance networking (again, matching up with recent chatter), a twelve-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash (likely rocking improved night shooting and super slow-motion video capture) and both NFC and fingerprint (Authentec-made?) sensors.
The pretty reliable Japanese blog Macotakara recently claimed the next iPhone will be outfitted with both NFC and fingerprint-scanning technology to enhance the security and capabilities of iOS-driven mobile payments. If that’s the case,, we should then expect an iTunes Wallet announcement as well.
For what it’s worth, we recently heard from another source that integrating fingerprint tech underneath the Home button was causing production issues that might cause supply constraints at launch.
Just yesterday @c科技 claimed they got the real iPhone pack panel and its volume buttons, and today they post more budget iPhone photos of wihte version:

What's more, the rumors said Apple would release budget iPhone in September, and according Techkiddy, the budget iPhone price will start from $349 for 16Gb, and $449$, 549$ for 32Gb, 64Gb, and keep an eye on it, we will get you noticed at very first time.

According to AllThingsD, a production ramp up of the next generation iPhone should begin around the end of this month, confirming a recent report from Jefferies' Peter Misek.
Misek believes that Apple started small batch production of the iPhone 5S last month, but with the company now gearing up for mass production, it appears to be making final preparations for a launch later this year.
A report from earlier today suggested that iPhone 5S supplies will be constrained at launch, as it is with many new Apple product releases, perhaps because of low yields on a new fingerprint sensor that is expected in the device.
Some iPhone 5S prototypes have previously leaked, showcasing features such as a dual-LED flash and a slightly larger battery, as well as an A7 chip. Misek, for his part, believes that the 5S production ramp is in addition to one that's in progress for the rumored lower-cost iPhone. FromAllThingsD:
Interestingly, Misek says that iPhone production ramp up will follow one that’s already under way for Apple’s long-rumored lower-cost iPhone, a device he figures the company will price somewhere between $300 and $400 — without a subsidy. He estimates production plans at 25 million to 30 million units, split pretty much evenly across the 5s and its new lower-cost sibling. And he says the new entry probably won’t be competitive with the truly low-end handsets popular in emerging markets.
Last year, at roughly this same point in the July, we saw similar reports of increased production ahead of the release of the iPhone 5.

According to a recent report from the Financial Times, Apple is “aggressively” hiring new employees to help with its smart watch effort. The move suggests that the company needs additional expertise to tackle the obstacles they are facing with the project. Sources also indicate that the “iWatch’ may not appear until late next year, something which was previously rumored. The following was said about the recently revealed information:
The company has begun hiring “aggressively” for the project in recent weeks, say people familiar with Apple’s plans for the wearable device, a move that shows it has stepped up development but which raises questions over the ability of its own engineers to develop wearable technology.
As Apple moves from iPods, iPhones and iPads into an entirely new category of product, it is looking beyond its existing staff in Cupertino for the talent required to build it – an indication that the endeavour involves “hard engineering problems that they’ve not been able to solve”, according to one source.
The report indicates that Apple has been looking into acquiring smaller firms with expertise that would be valuable to its smart watch effort. The company seems to be working hard to retain key employees that would help with their project.
As many of you probably already know, rumors of an Apple smart watch have been circulating for some time now, especially with the company reportedly putting over 100 designers to work on the project. Earlier in the month, it was revealed that Apple hired Paul Deneve, who was formerly the CEO of the fashion house, Yves Saint Laurent, to work on “special projects.” The speculation pointed towards him being involved with the iWatch along with other wearable computing projects at Apple.
Furthermore, the Cupertino California company has been filing trademark applications on the iWatch name in a number of countries, a move the company typically makes relatively close to its product launches. In this specific case, it seems like Apple still has a significant amount of work to finish before it can bring the device to the market.
Ultimately, we’ll have to wait and be patient to see if an “iWatch” is revealed and to learn more about it.
If you don’t use the SpotLight page very much for anything, then why not trick it out with useful system toggles, quick composition, and system information? Shown above, a new jailbreak tweak called TaskMaster by iOS developer iA1eX will do just that.
Upon installing the tweak, you will be able to swipe over to your SpotLight page and find more than just a search bar, but also controls for your music, whether it’s currently playing or not, as well as a volume slider and a brightness slider.
Just under that you will find system toggles for:
Wi-Fi
Airplane Mode
Bluetooth
Do Not Disturb
Flashlight
Location Services
Silent Mode
Rotation Lock
3G
Data
Personal Hotspot
Respring
Right below the toggles you will find quick composition for Twitter, Facebook, E-mail, and Messages, as well as useful information about the device such as:
The name of the device
The type of device and firmware version
The device's total capacity
The device's available free space
The network the device is connected to
The IP address
The MAC address
The battery percentage
Notably, even though the tweak adds new features to the SpotLight page, you can still use the SpotLight page to search for things on your iOS device. That being said, while the tweak is great for people that don’t use SpotLight, it’s also great for people that do use SpotLight and want to simply improve the functionality of the page.
TaskMaster doesn't come with any options to configure; you will be able to just install it and begin using it. The tweak is compatible with iOS 5.1.1 and later and works on any iPhone or iPod touch (not the iPad just yet). If you would like to give TaskMaster a try, it's available in Cydia's BigBoss repository for just $1.99.

With Instagram gaining video capabilities just recently, some are a little upset that you can only capture new videos through Instagram and can’t import existing videos from your Camera Roll to Instagram.
With a new jailbreak tweak, however, you can. Dubbed InstaChooser by iOS developer Stevie Hetelekides, this new tweak will let you choose existing videos from your Camera Roll and upload them to your Instagram.
When you enter video mode in Instagram, you will see a new button labled “Import” that you can tap on to browse your Camera Roll for videos to upload, as shown above. Notably, you won’t want to upload a video longer than 15 seconds, because Instagram video only supports 15-second videos. We tried pushing the limits and anything longer than 15 seconds will fail to upload. If your imported video is less than 15 seconds to start with, Instagram will allow you to record another video for the rest of the 15 second duration.
You can apply filters to imported Instagram videos as usual, as well as change the cover frame. After applying your changes, you can add your own comment the video like usual before finally uploading the video to Instagram for your followers to see.
InstaChooser adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can enable or disable the tweak on demand:
I hardly use Instagram, but I think this is just a transitionary tweak, Instagram will sooner or later complet this feature. But if you would like to give InstaChooser a try, it is available on Cydia's BigBoss repository for just $0.99. The tweak currently supports the latest version of Instagram as of this writing.

The LG G2, also known as the LG Optimus G2, is one of the more anticipated smartphones coming out in the second half of 2013. So far the rumors are plentiful but not much has been set in stone yet. This may have changed as LG recently sent out a press release for a full HD smartphone panel. Given that the LG G2 is the next big thing coming out of LG, it’s not a giant leap in logic to guess that this state of the art HD smartphone panel is for LG’s next state of the art smartphone.
Here is everything about the panel as per the press release:
  • It is a “state-of-the-art 5.2-inch panel.”
  • The screen is 2.2mm thin.
  • It has a 2.3mm bezel.
  • Uses LG Display’s One Glass Solution. According to LG, “Dual Flexible Printed Circuits, superior to a single circuit, have been inserted between the panel and touch film, reducing the number of lines on the panel by more than 30 percent.
  • 1080×1920 Full HD resolution.
  • LG makes it a point to tell everyone about the brightness. Apparently, Intertek has confirmed that this screen is capable of performing just fine in “strong outdoor sunlight” the photo at the bottom shows LG accepting a certificate from Intertek to this affect.

It’s hard to get overly excited about a display but LG seems to have put enough info into this display for it to actually be a little exciting. As you can see from the pictures above and below, this screen is ridiculously thin, bright, and colorful. Of course, only time will tell if it looks this good in a smartphone as it does in these photographs. LG also claims that the thinness of this display will also help improve grip. Again, though, these are things we won’t know for sure until this bad boy is released on a smartphone.
The most important part is that this hasn’t been 100% confirmed as the screen for the LG G2. It might as well be, but LG hasn’t directly come out and said that this will be on their LG G2 behemoth. Rumors state that the screen will be between 5 and 5.5 inches and be 1080p. This screen satisfies all that criteria. Also, as this screen has an official press release and the rumored unveil for the LG G2 is less than a month away on August 7th, there’s no reason to believe it won’t be prepared to be inserted into the G2′s body. To read the press release for yourself, we’ve put it in below.

Colorful Low Cost iPhone Shells Continue to Leak

After many leaks, mockups and rumors, the budget iPhone continues to surface. This time we see yellow, green, gray, red and blue variations of the product that is rumored to launch along the iPhone 5S. Current rumors have the budget iPhone featuring a plastic shell and have the device running for around $300-400 off contract. There is not too much information on the specs, but Apple will most likely tap into components it manufactured with older devices in order to keep the costs down. Although these is no way to verify the authenticity of these photos, it is interesting to see many of them popup all around the same time.
